Cameron: By the time you got to New York, you said you had almost forgotten you had already ridden Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. What was the overall feel of that northern U.S. section for you?
Josh: That is where elevation really started to matter. Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia. The riding there is about climbing, not distance. I came in thinking in daily mileage. I left understanding I should have been planning around daily elevation gain.
