Weekly Roundup May 4-10 (happy bike month!)

This past Friday we had the honor of attending the 2026 Triangle Trails Initiative Summit!

The Triangle Trails Summit brought together community members, planners, advocates, and outdoor enthusiasts from across the Triangle to connect around a shared goal of improving trail access and connectivity.

The event featured a mix of speaker sessions, panel discussions, and interactive workshops focused on topics like greenway development, biking and pedestrian safety, and equitable access to outdoor spaces.

Overall, it had a collaborative, community-driven feel, with plenty of opportunities for attendees to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and explore ways to make trails more accessible and impactful for everyone.

One of the key takeaways was a breakdown of the Wander App. It is a travel planning and discovery app designed to help people find, organize, and experience trips more intentionally. It brings together destination inspiration, curated recommendations, and itinerary-building tools in one place, allowing users to map out everything from quick getaways to longer, more complex trips.

The app focuses on personalization, helping users explore places based on their interests, save ideas, and build structured plans they can easily revisit or share. Rather than just booking travel, Wander is geared toward the experience of travel making it easier to discover new locations, visualize a trip, and keep all the details organized in one streamlined platform.
