On to the activities for this week:
Thursday 08/06 - Dusk MTB Ride
Meet at 7pm at the Centennial Campus Middle School. We will meet at the trail head and do a loop. Each loop at Lake Raleigh Woods is about a mile long so there will be opportunities to collect riders and do multiple laps or potentially to leave after any loop, depending on the ability level and time available to individual riders on each ride.
Friday 08/07 - First Friday at TBL Cafe
Join TBL After Hours with a First Friday Art Night! There will be art for sale by local artists, full espresso bar open with wine and beer for a suggested donation, music by a local DJ, and vibes. Bring a friend and spread the word!
Saturday 08/08 - TBL 1 Year Anniversary at TBL Cafe
See more information above
Saturday 08/08 - Melted Crayon Alleycat + Cookout at Jaycee Park
Join community kickstand for their second annual benefit alleycat & cookout! New to alleycats? Alleycats are fun, choose-your-own-adventure rides inspired by bike couriers.
You'll get a list of stops, plan a route, and hit as many stops as you can (or want to) before the cutoff. Each stop earns you a random crayon. At the end, use them to color in a drawing. Best ones win prizes!
Ride solo or party-pace with a group. Perfect for beginners, newcomers, veteran townies, and everyone in between.
Featuring a post-ride cookout with hot dogs (veggie and meat), drinks, and snacks. Proceeds go to Raleigh Community Kickstand, a collective providing free repairs, bikes, and training for folks in need. See you there!
Sunday 08/09 - GGC Basic Bike Maintenance Class at GGC Container
GGC’s monthly Basic Maintenance Class is a great way to learn the essentials of bike care and tune-ups. Each class is shaped by who shows up — we tailor the content based on attendees’ knowledge and experience, so no two sessions are exactly the same!
