This Week At The Bike Library

This Week At The Bike Library
Nearly 300 people at the first Critical Mass ride in 10 years.

Still riding that high from Critical Mass. Nearly 300 people showed up and we shut down traffic in downtown for nearly a half-mile-long string of bikers, onewheelers, and skaters. It was amazing.

That said, we have a rambunctious week ahead of us – culminating with our principal, Tier-1, Grade A Bike Month event on Saturday. Let's get to it.

Thursday is Raleigh's Bike to Work day, as part of Bike to Work Week. We will be slinging coffee and snacks from 7am-9am. Read more at this link, and make sure to check out this map below to see all of the participating shops:

Friday, we will play around with evening hours. Between 6 and 8pm, come on out to the lake and enjoy the sunset with us. We will have additional beverage options besides the usual cold brew and Jabin, unless you're a psycho who can drink straight up diesel in the evening and be fine.

Saturday is our keystone Bike Month event. Raleigh has a vibrant running scene, and in the interest of getting more people on bikes we decided to host a run/bike crossover event. Meet us at the shop at 8am with a bike and your running shoes. There will be cold brew coffee as always, and some undisclosed goodies for you to enjoy. There will be an extra-extra short ride over to the other side of the lake, where you'll find a wealth of fun trails to run at Lake Raleigh Woods! Go run for as long, short, slow or fast as you'd like. There will be some routes available, or you can go freestyle. We'll filter out of the forest and head back to the container, all the while reveling in the awesomeness that is the ability to move our bodies.

After allllll that, we will finally open up for the weekend, and be open 10-6 both days as usual. See you around!
