Silent Auctions, Block Parties, and the Grand Opening You've Been Waiting For

Alright, alright... this isn't your typical weekly events post, although we have the usual lineup of Espresso Express, RIP ride, Coffee Outside, and all the rest. Check them out on the calendar, like usual.

This week, we have a few special events to announce, in non-chronological order:

The Bike Library Grand Opening

When: Aug 08 @ 6-8pm
Where: The Bike Library Storefront
What: Come celebrate the official Grand Opening of The Bike Library! We’ve been quietly wrenching and pouring for a few weeks, but now it’s time to throw the doors wide open. Expect a full evening of community, creativity, and celebration—including a behind-the-scenes documentary screening, local vendors and artists, drinks, music, a group ride to the Sir Walter Miler, and of course, a ribbon cutting with the biggest scissors you've ever seen.

The Left Hook Silent Auction

When: This Thursday, July 24, 5-10pm
Where: The Longleaf Hotel
What: The Left Hook Coffee is hosting its first-ever Silent Auction at The Longleaf Hotel, and it’s shaping up to be a good one. Shop vintage and one-of-a-kind items from Trunkshow Raleigh, grab food from Ghost Pepper Industries, and vibe out to DJ ON HORSEBACK on the patio. Plus, The Bike Library is auctioning off an Omnium Cargo bike—starting bid just $1600, maybe the best cargo deal you’ll find anywhere. There will also be a raffle - tickets are $5 and available now through July 24 at Gussie’s, The Longleaf, and Trunkshow.

Real Matter

When: This Sunday, July 25, 5pm-6:30pm
Where: Raleigh Union Station
What: The Bike Library will be popping up at the REAL MATTER Block Party at Union Station! Come hang with us, check out local vendors and community orgs, and stick around for a special Mayor’s Talk + Q&A at 6:30PM.

Knock Your Block Off Party

When: Saturday, Aug 02, 1-5pm
Where: The Left Hook Coffee Laundromat (912 E Hargett St)
What: Our pals over at Left Hook Coffee are hosting a Field Day at their new location to raise money for their future opening!
