You may have noticed something is... a little different... since the last time you saw this blog. Indeed, you're looking at the new Greenway Gear Collective site. Please excuse our dust. The reason for the change is that this blog is the best way to advance the GGC mission of expanding bike access through education.

What you're reading right now is the Newsletter, a simple run-through of all of our monthly events. If you're a free subscriber, this newsletter will show up in your inbox at the beginning of every month. It will detail the time, place, location, and additional details for every event we put on each month. These events are also in the Event Calendar. We will also send out notifications for unexpected closures at The Bike Library and any other crucial information that needs to be passed.

January Events at Greenway Gear Collective

• Basic Bike Maintenance Class
  • Sunday, January 12
  • 10am-12pm
  • Sign up here to learn about basic bike maintenance, answer any questions you might have, and get hands-on exposure to working on your bike in a guided setting.
  • Keep an eye on the Instagram for weather-related updates.
• Adventure Series: Trail Run at Lake Raleigh Woods
  • Saturday, January 18
  • 11:00am-1:00pm
  • Meet at the Alumni Center parking lot near the trailhead for a trail run with Jeff and Debra. Expect a relaxed, conversational pace!
• Women's Ride with Anu Womb
  • Saturday, January 26
  • 10am-12pm
  • Come join for a short, fun ladies' ride along the Walnut Creek greenway with the ladies from Anu! Bike rentals will be available if needed.
• Espresso Express
  • Weekly on Tuesdays
  • 7am-8:30am from Trophy Brewing on Morgan St.
  • 5-7 miles, different coffee shop each week.
• Coffee Outside
  • Weekly on Thursdays
  • 7:30am-8:30am at The Bike Library
  • Meet there on bike, foot, or drive if you absolutely must! ;) BYO Coffee apparatus, or mooch off someone else's if they're nice. (I frequently mooch off Jake's setup)
