Recap: The Bike Library Kickoff

Last Thursday, The Bike Library had its kickoff event at THE STORE. It was a wonderful night where we celebrated the start something new in Raleigh, surrounded by many of those who have helped bring this idea to life.
There were drinks a'plenty – nonalcoholic, of course – along with bikes, charcuterie boards, merch, film photos, and some awesome handmade prints. The event had one goal: be fun. It seemed like most folks had a good time. People were able to mingle with those they hadn't met previously, despite having both been key to this project.
At the end of the day, The Bike Library isn't solving world hunger, curing cancer, or providing the next breakthrough in renewable energy. The goal is smaller, more local: get more people on bikes. That small goal has a big truth buried inside: Bikes bring joy. In a way, that's what this is all about. More joy, in a world that sometimes seems to have lost its mind.
A big thank you to everyone who came out and helped with this so far. We will have more events as things gets warmer, brighter, and more real :)
P.S. The fundraiser is still on. There will be a few more updates coming down the pipe, but for now, send the link to a friend or two!
