Weekly Roundup February 9-15
Did you know the NABR run is now the Java Jog? The Java Jog is a casual run starting and ending at The Bike Library Cafe.
You can meet Josh Grassel and Josh Albert at The Bike Library Cafe at 9:00am, run takes off at 9:05am. Loop is about 5 miles, pace will vary depending on the group. However, this is meant to be an entry level run accessible to all. Hangout at The Bike Library after for some coffee and vibes!

Monday 02/09 - Matcha Class with Kiko Cafe at The Bike Library Cafe
If you have ever been curious about making a Matcha Latte or what the process looks like, this is the perfect class for you! Come learn from the best. Hira will be leading a workshop on Matcha basics! Hira is one of The Bike Library's Beverage Directors and owner and founder of Kiko Cafe a local Raleigh matcha pop up! Thursday 02/12 - Poker Ride with NC State Cycling Club
NC Stares Cycling Club is hosting a poker ride starting and ending at the NC State Bell Tower. It is a $5 buy in. They will distribute one card per stop with a total of five stops. The rider with the best hand at the end will win the pot. It will be a no drop party pace ride. All are welcome!!
Thursday 02/12 - Triangle Bikeway Update w/ CAMPO
Join us for an informative presentation in partnership with Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) focused on regional traffic safety, bicycle, and pedestrian programs and projects. This session will highlight CAMPO’s ongoing efforts to improve safety and connectivity for people who bike and walk throughout the region.
A key portion of the presentation will include an update on the Triangle Bikeway Project, including project goals, planned improvements, and opportunities for public involvement. The public engagement period for the project runs from January 21 through February 24, and a public survey will be available online during this time.
Attendees will learn how to get involved, provide feedback, and stay informed about this and other initiatives aimed at creating safer, more accessible transportation options for all users.

Thursday 02/12 - Trivia Night with Clayson!
Join us for Trivia Night hosted by Clayson Shumway! The night will consist of six rounds of trivia.
The first four general knowledge rounds have five questions each and the questions are connected by a common theme. Examples of rounds he has used in the past are Literature, Argentina, Animals, and Airplanes. Examples of questions are “Which character attacked a windmill?” or “What is the Spirit of St Louis Famous for?”
Round five is a top 10 list. Examples of past categories are 10 highest countries by average elevation, or name 10 Shakespeare plays. We finish up with a music round. He plays 30 seconds of 10 songs. You will get points for each correct artist, and can also wager on whether you have found the theme connecting the artists. For example, if the theme is deserts, he would play songs by Earth Wind & Fire, Caravan Palance, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sahara Hotnights etc.
Friday 02/13 - Latte Art Throwdown
Come and celebrate the Left Hook Coffee‘s two year anniversary with a latte art throwdown that starts at 5:30 PM! They will have festivities through the weekend so check out their Instagram for more details!

Join my 4-week beginner-friendly class for a month of making at The Bike Library, Raleigh’s newest bike café. Together, we’ll cover the basics of knitting and work on a few projects, like the viral sophie scarf, while building community and confidence along the way.
This makers series costs $110 and includes all materials, supplies, and four café drinks. Just bring yourself, a snack if you’d like, and a willingness to learn, and I’ll take care of the rest.
